Of all-aluminium, the fabulous eco-friendly 6.0 litre, 60º V12 configuration - a first for Aston Martin - provides power in spades. A flat torque curve ensures tractability and silky smooth performance on demand. 

The twin cylinder heads with four valves per cylinder boast dual overhead camshafts. An electronic engine management system controls fuel injection and a distributor-free ignition system.

With bonnet raised, the design elements of the Aston Martin V12 engine are at once impressive; the flowing symmetry of high-grade aluminium alloys never more evident than in the sculptured induction layout atop the engine. 

Performance

Developing a jaw-dropping 420BHP, the 48-valve quad cam motor of 5935cc punches the Vantage Volante convertible to 100KPH in a fast 5 seconds, top speed being up in the 265KPH range. 

Specifically developed to match the V-12 engine’s performance, suspension, brakes and traction controls deliver in spades.

Massive ventilated disc brakes with alloy 4-piston calipers and ABS provide awesome stopping power.

Sport or economy modes are offered by the 5-speed automatic transmission – a beautifully engineered system coupled to a limited slip differential.
